Smallbore 100-Yard Benchrest
Match Program
Rules: This is an informal shoot at 100yds using the NRA-A23 50-yd target to make it more challenging. NRA F-Class Smallbore Rifle Rules are followed but shooting style is strictly benchrest. There are no classes, any rifle or rest is allowed.
Schedule: Usually the fourth Sunday of the month. Matches will last approx 2-3 hours.
Location: Smallbore Competition Range, Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club, 610 Hurley Blvd., Palm Bay, FL 32906
Registration: opens at 0730 to 0800. A match briefing will be held prior to the Warm-up period and the match will start after the warm-up.
Match Fee:
Adult PMRPC members…………. $5.00
Adult non-members…………..…. $10.00
Juniors (Under age 18) .………….$ 5.00
Entries: Entries are limited to the first 12 individuals. Entries will be accepted by e-mail herb.kreutz@gmail.com until 8:00 AM the day before the match. Walk-ons may be allowed if space is available.
Rifle Allowed: Any rifle in 22lr is allowed. The shooter is required to have a good 100 yard zero before entering the match. Zeroing at the match will not be permitted.
Targets: NRA A-23 shot at 100 yards. Ties will be broken by X count. If the X count is the same, the highest single target, then the next highest until a winner is decided.
Ammunition: Rule 3.17, provided by the competitor.
Empty Chamber Indicators (ECI): Approved NRA Empty Chamber Indicators are required to be used at all times except during the preparation period time and firing. Any competitors not having an ECI may purchase one at the event for $1.00 each.
Course of Fire: A maximum of 12 competitors will shoot 3 stages. Each stage consists of 1 target with 5 rounds per bull on 4 bulls for record in 25 minutes. (NRA A23 target). Combined score of all 3 stages = match score
